The Forest Retreat is a temporary dwelling unit that is easily transported with a trailer in various locations.
The main concept of the home is the connection with nature. This house offers a unique place that lives in symbiosis with nature. By maximizing the usable space through a fluid form, maximizing light, and using natural materials in a very elegant way the house becomes one with nature wherever it is placed. The interior space acts as a transition between the exterior environment. Light pours into the space from one end to the other through floor to ceiling windows, creating the feeling of being outside. All the main functions are located in a core on the back of the house, so that the kitchen and bathroom are next to each other, and behind them, on the outside is the location for the mechanical and electrical elements.

A journey in the forest:
Among the trees I found myself. I still remember the first time I ventured into the heart of the forest with the intention of simply being, of surrendering to the experience without distractions. I had heard about the benefits of forest bathing—the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku—but I had no idea how profoundly it would impact my mind, body, and soul.
That day, as I stepped off the beaten path and into the embrace of towering trees, a sense of calm immediately washed over me. The world outside—filled with noise, deadlines, and demands—seemed to melt away. In its place, the gentle rustling of leaves, the earthy scent of pine, and the soft whisper of wind through the branches filled the air. I could feel the ground solid beneath my feet, grounding me, reminding me of the simplicity of existence.
The trees, with their silent strength and enduring presence, made me feel a profound connection—not just to nature, but to something larger, something timeless. I realized that, like the trees, I could be still and strong, rooted yet flexible. In their quiet, I found wisdom; in their presence, I found peace. It was as if the forest was speaking to me, reminding me that wellness isn’t something to be chased or achieved, but something that flows naturally when we align ourselves with the rhythms of the earth.
