Romanian Cultural Pavilion

Romanian Cultural Pavilion

description

The pavilion was designed as a paper installation for the UIAA Romanian Pavilion for the exposition in Tokyo.

Asked to present an installation that best encompasses the ecology of the country, our proposal was to present a landscape that recounts the variety and beauty of the topography from the Carpatian Mountains to the Sea level. We created a lasercut paper sofa, which was a replica of the terrain of the country’s landscape, and which offered seating and a physical experience, while visitors could engage with the images.
